Buying fruits and vegetables can sometimes be the area where it is the hardest to save money on groceries if you are shopping at a supermarket.  Go to the markets instead for your fruits and vegetables.

Cut your weekly grocery bill at discount supermarket shops

Every local suburb seems to have a local discount grocery or supermarket shop. You know the one.  They advertise themselves as a no-frills supermarket chain.  You can save money on groceries by checking out your nearest discount supermarket shop.  It might be time to make a shift from your regular supermarket.

Discount salvage grocery stores

Variation to the above but they tend to source excess stock coming from other grocery stores or the big food manufacturers who want to get rid of stock off their shelves that may be close to use by dates.

There is nothing usually wrong with these products. Just do a common sense check to make sure products are still packaged, and in good order for consumption.

Treat it as a treasure hunt as from week to week different products turn up on the shelf but may not necessarily be stocked the following week.

Hope you have enjoyed the tips above on how to save money on groceries.
